Actress Subi Suresh has died at the age of 34.

 


Comedian and TV host Subi Suresh has passed away at the age of 34.The comedian and TV host was reportedly suffering from a liver-related ailment.She breathed her last at a private hospital in Kochi this morning (February 22). Subi Suresh started her career as a mimicry artist.

The death occurred around 10 a.m at Rajagiri Hospital near Aluva. She was admitted on January 28 and was undergoing treatment for acute liver failure, according to hospital authorities.

Ramesh Pisharody, who collaborated with her for various programmes for nearly two decades, recalled her exceptional talent to come up with creative comedy skits. She was also a popular dancer, he said. Tini Tom, actor, said that her loss cannot be replaced as she was among the few women mimicry artistes in Malayalam.

Her TV debut was by hosting the famous Malayalam comedy show 'Cinemala' on Asianet. She became a well-known face among Malayalis after anchoring a show for kids called 'Kuttipattalam' on Surya TV.

Subi's first film was 'Kanaka Simhasanam', directed by Rajasenan, in 2006. In the later years, she featured in several movies like Happy Husbands, Elsamma Enna Aankutty among others.


Born in Tripunithura in Ernakulam, she was active in school and college events and competitions.

Subi is survived by her parents and brother.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan expressed his condolences over the untimely demise of the actress. In his statement, the CM remarked that Subi was a promising artist.
