Ajay Banga is appointed as the new president of world bank.

 

Ajay banga is the 63 year old Indian American executive who is appointed as the new chief of world bank by the US president Joe Biden on February 23,2023. He has completed his educational qualifications from Delhi University(D.U),IIM Ahemdabad.After that he joined Nestle group in India in 1981 and worked there 13 years  and after that he also worked in Pepsico.After this he joined citi group and in 2010 he was appointed as the ceo of banking giant MASTERCARD.He worked there till 2020.He has also worked in ICC for some years.

Ajay was awarded the Foreign Policy Association Medal in 2012, the Padma Shri Award by the President of India in 2016, the Ellis Island Medal of Honor and the Business Council for International Understanding's Global Leadership Award in 2019, and the Distinguished Friends of Singapore Public Service Star in 2021.
